Courtyard Cottages were developed from an old byre where our cows were milked by hand many years ago. This attractive building has not altered externally but has been changed inside to create three very comfortable self contained cottages for holiday accommodation. All three cottages are on one level and have ramps to the doors making them accessible to all. Parking is available in the courtyard directly outside the cottage doors. The flooring in the cottages are laminate throughout with the exception of the kitchen (The Old Dairy) and the bathrooms - here they are fitted with non slip flooring. We accept children of all ages and can provide travel cots and high-chairs on request, We also accept well behaved dogs (remember this a working farm) at an extra charge of £10.00 per stay, if you are bringing a dog you must discuss this with us at point of booking.

Castlehead Cottage

Sleeps 2 in 1 double room overlooking Brockle Beck, this charming cosy cottage has a shower room incorporating WC and wash basin with non slip flooring. The living/dining area has a fully fitted well equipped kitchen with microwave. Comfortable seating in the lounge area with satellite TV and video player, radio and CD player.Views from the living room and the bedroom extend across the fields over the town and down as far as Bassenthwaite Lake, the surrounding mountains make the outlook a perfect picture to wake up to in the morning.

Brockle Cottage

Sleeps 2 in a versatile bedroom, you may have twin beds (2 singles) or a super king sized bed, this cottage is slightly more spacious than Castlehead Cottage with a large entrance hall and living / dining room, the fully fitted, well equipped kitchen with microwave has laminate wood flooring and offers warm and comfortable accommodation. The wet-room has non slip flooring and incorporates WC and wash basin. Views from the living room and bedroom overlook Brockle Beck and extend over our meadows towards town and across to Bassenthwaite Lake. Satellite TV, DVD Player, radio and CD player are provided in the cottage and parking is available outside the cottage door. 

 The Old Dairy

This is our largest cottage sleeping up to 6 people but ideally suited to 4 persons, it has 2 bedrooms; 1 double and 1 twin (2 single beds) a sofa bed is also available for use if required and this is in the living/dining area. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, WC and wash basin the room has non slip flooring. The living / dining area has 2 large sofas, satellite TV, video player, radio and CD player. A large dining table to seat 6 people is also in this room. The kitchen has non slip flooring and is well equipped with fridge and freezer.Views overlook Brockle Beck and the surrounding meadows and mountains these extend over the town and as far down as Bassenthwaite Lake. Parking is available on the doorstep.
